We are dedicated to showcasing bold, original, and unapologetically strange short films curated to elevate the cannabis-friendly viewing experience.
Genres we accept: horror, B-horror, psychological thrillers, dark comedies, animation, music videos, and the delightfully strange. If it’s bold, bizarre, or sometimes bloody, we want to see it.
Founded by filmmaker Christopher Wells, Weird Short Films was born from a love of unconventional storytelling and a desire to create a supportive space for low- and no-budget filmmakers.
We welcome filmmakers of all levels — from DIY no-budget renegades to seasoned pros looking to spark something unexpected..
In addition to shorts, we also offer filmmakers a platform to promote their feature films on our website and YouTube channel, directing audiences straight to your official link.
Selected films will be featured on our official YouTube channel, living in curated playlists alongside film challenges, and original content designed to help indie voices get seen. The very best of those films will then screen in a theater in NYC.
